I agree that you have to be creative when searching names. At the NJ Archives recently, I found a marriage record indexed under "H" when it should have been "N." On the actual handwritten record, the "N", indeed, did look like an "H." The only reason I found it was that I was looking under maiden name of the wife. Lorraine [email protected]
