Good day to all, Right after the holidays, we will be moving to Murphy, NC (mostly during summer months in the future). We are going to build a castle... yes, a castle, and develop the 26 acres we purchased this year and call it "Scottish Woods". The castle will be a "Bed & Breakfast" as well as a "time-share" resort... anyway, this really is not meant to be an "advertisement" for the future resort, it's to secure genealogy information for the castle genealogical reference library. To "cut to the chase" as they say, each suite in the castle, "Castle McKenzie", will be named after a Scottish Clan, and decorated accordingly. The reason for this message is that we will be very heavily involved with promoting the genealogy of each of those clan names, etc. and plan to have a library in the great room of the castle dedicated to genealogy and research, etc. Here's the offer... Anyone wishing to submit their genealogy information, family tree, books, articles, etc. to us, will have it included in the appropriate Clan section of the castle library. At this time, we are only going to accept "hard copy" (printed) material as the information will be in "book" form on the shelves for visitors' review and research. (We will probably computerize much of the reference information in the future). At present, only the Clan names listed will be represented by the B&B suites, but we are planning to offer cabins or cottages for sale/rent with other Clan names in phase two of the project, so all Clan name submittals are welcome. I'm sorry we are limiting the information to "Scottish Clans", but that being the theme of the resort, it just makes sense, and will keep the project more manageable. These are the Clans that will be represented with castle suites: Bruce, Burns, Campbell, Graham, Johnson, MacCrae, MacDonald, MacGregor, MacKenzie, MacLeod, Morgan, Stewart and Wallace. All spellings should be included...
