Listers: when searching for ancestors, one never knows where the ancestors might be in a census, so passing this along as a reminder that one should look everywhere. While searching the 1905 STATE OF NEW JERSEY (not federal) Census in Paterson, I noticed a page title "LIVING IN BOXCARS"..IT WAS THE SECOND DISTRICT, 11TH WARD...at least #51-100 on p. 17....there may be more pages, I didn't note how many pages for sure....all were immigrants from Italy. So if you are having a hard time finding someone from Italy who you believed to have been in Paterson by that year, you might check this listing.
