Hi Passaic Co. Researchers, Things are moving rather slowly again here, so I thought I'd list some of the surnames I'm researching in Paterson. I am also going to repost a message on ONEILL-CAVANAUGH the I posted last May, in case anyone new to the list is researching these families. Also will post one on the MERREY family. In many cases, I am researching ALL families in Paterson with these surnames (certainly true for the 4 main surnames). For the others, I may have lots or only limited information, such as a family story that mentions a relationship or a census listing or marriage record. The 4 main families below were from Ireland originally, but the related families were of other origins as well as Irish. FARRELL (in Paterson from abt 1870, relatives in Jersey City, may have lived in Albany NY area 1850-1870), related families: BYRNES/BURNS (related names GLASLIN, WALDINGER, WATSON), CONKLIN (related names GANNON, HENION; mainly in Allendale & HoHoKus NJ and Sloatsburg, Rockland Co. NY area), DEVINE/DIVINE, LAFRICAN, O'BRIEN, QUEENEY (also in Jersey City). HAROLD / HARROLD (in Paterson from abt 1850), related families: BARLOW (also of Detroit & Royal Oak MI, Tyler TX, St Louis MO, related family PEARCE/PEARSE/ PIERCE of Detroit & Royal Oak MI), BERGIN/BERGEN (related names ABBOTT, CLARK, FITZGERALD, HUGHES), CARR, FARRELL (different one from above), MAHAR/MAHER, MOILY/MOLLE?
