If anyone wants to be able to post to this list from another email address that is not subscribed to the list, let me know. I can add that email address to the "accept list". All email lists have been "closed" on Rootsweb due to the massive amount of spam they were getting. Which means that only subscribers may post to the list. Anyone not on the subscriber list must either be on the "accept list" or they will have their messages bounced to my inbox. Diane Ward Sives

Thomas Warren married Selina Waring in Paterson, NJ in 1835. They had 3 children born there: William B., 1836; John H., c1840; and Eliza W., 1843. Thomas, publisher and editor of the Paterson Intelligencer, died in 1857 and his family left Paterson by 1860. I am interested in tracing William and John from that point forward. Did they marry and have issue?? Thanks for any help or suggestions, John Polhemus Calabash, NC
I just got back from Ireland. I collected Hart/Harte birth records from County Cork, Parish of Aghada. I have posted these records on my GeoCities web site. The child's name, Parents name and Sponsors are given. The wives maiden names are used to help show family connections. I copied the records as they were written. Different spellings were used for the same person. My one record is in purple. I haven't been able to figure out all the relationships. According to the Parish Priest, the families are grouped together. The fun part is figuring out siblings! Please let me know if you connect with any of these Hart's! Hello...I was looking for any information concerning a CORNELIUS SCHUYLER, who lived in Pompton Township, Passaic County in the 1830's and 1840's. I would venture a guess that he died just around 1852 or so, when a land transaction lists his Estate as grantee of some land in Passaic County. He lived in an area considered Bergen County, Saddle River Twp prior to 1794 (around that anyway), and it was possibly the modern day Bloomingdale, Wanaque, or Riverdale area of Passaic County. Phillip Schuyler had owed 121 acres of land there in 1750...and the Schuylers were large land owners of that area, no doubt this Cornelius descends from them. Possibly a son or grandson of that Phillip. Any help would be really appreciated. I am missing a 4th great grandmother! David P.S. Happy Holidays!

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who recognizes this Sindle family from Little Falls NJ. I believe they are of Dutch origin. Myra E. VREELAND Lane Always looking for Vreelands and Goulds from Passaic and Essex Counties Source:Little Falls Eagle Illustrated, 7/27/1907 Sindle, Stephen: Over half a century ago Christopher Sindle established his grist mill in Little Falls, and from that grist mill has grown the present model mill of Stephen Sindle & Sons. Stephen Sindle has been an active worker in the mill since the age of 14, having succeeded his father 20 years ago, his son, Harold S., is also identified with the business. The firm are dealers in flour, feed, grain, hay, etc., and manufacturers of hair and wool felts, standard hair felt for covering steam pipes, boilers and lining ice houses, refrigerators, cars, etc., making a specialty of hard felt for gun wadding for cartridges. H. LYMAN SINDLE H. Lyman Sindle was born in Little Falls on March 16, 1903. He attended the Little Falls Grammar School, the Montclair High School, and later Spencer's Business College in Paterson. On August 12, 1920 he became a member of the Enterprise Fire Co. No. 2. While in the Enterprise he served as 1st Lieutenant and later became Captain. In 1929 he transferred to the Great Notch Fire Company; he was the first assistant fire chief until two years ago when he was elected chief. Mr. Sindle's hobby is baseball. He has played as a semi-professional and as a professional in the earlier Little Falls teams. In 1920 he was transferred from the Little Falls team to the Hartford team of the Eastern League. Mr. Sindle is also a competent trap shooter, evidently following in his father's footsteps, since his father was state champion trap shooter. In 1936 he married Miss Ruth Post, daughter of Colonel V. R. Post of Browertown Road. The couple have 2 children, Harry 10 years old and Gwendolyn, 7 years old. Mr. Sindle has traveled thru California, Florida, Kansas, and throughout almost all of the United States. Of all the states, he prefers California, because of its excellent climate and beautiful scenery. Mr. Sindle is a member of the Masonic Lodge of Little Falls.
I have an album with old photos (including tintypes) belonging to this family that I would like to share with their rightful owners.
