    1. [NJPASSAI-L] HAGUE, OSBURNE
    2. ME & I Ellis
    3. Dear Listers, I am new to your list, and I am hopeful that someone might have a connection with the HAGUE or OSBURNE (OSBORN) families in Passaic County. I reached a dead end after finding JAMES HAGUE's marriage to ANNE OSBURNE on 1/1/1858 in Paterson. I know that both were born in England: James in abt. 1818, Ann(ie) in abt. 1839/40. I did find James and Ann on the 1860, 1870, and 1880 Census records. If anyone out there is searching for either of these surnames, I'd be grateful to hear from you. Regards, Ione Ellis Arcata, California

    1. [NJPASSAI-L] Primitive Methodist Church
    2. Hi List.. My great-grandparents, Sarah Jane Vreeland and Joseph Ashworth Shaw, were married in 1866 by a Rev. John or James H. Robinson at the Primitive Methodist Church in Paterson. Does anyone have any information about this church? I know it was a splinter group of the Methodist church, and that it no longer exists. I also would am seeking information on Rev. Abraham H. Vreeland, born in Paterson circa 1808-1815, married to Jane W. Van Riper. His brother was Elias Adrian Vreeland, married to Jane Van Houten. I have reason to suspect and I'm seeking information on Elias Adrian Vreeland and Jane Van Houten as well.....they may be my elusive gr-gr grandparents. If anyone has any information at all, I'd be very appreciative. Thanks in advance! Dorothy

    1. [NJPASSAI-L] Anyone can help
    2. Contact and requests: I am researching the Abbott (Thomas arrived 1816 from Lisburn, Northern Ireland), Roegiers (Peter from Holland to Oradell and thence Paterson), and Hale (Henry and family including Maria in 1825 becoming an Abbott, arrived from England ? Manchester, in 1820) families of Paterson, New Jersey and am eager to connect with like minded souls. Specific questions: 1. How do I obtain copies (addresses please) and dollar cost of, marriage, death, and birth certificates, from St. Johns and other Roman Catholic Churches in Paterson, NJ. Do I connect with Church directly or via Diocesan offices in Paterson, Newark, or try Seton Hall University? I think the Abbott and Hale records are too early to find in Trenton. 2. Does anyone have or know, where a list of the "Sandy Hill" and other Paterson Cemetery removals (the actual names and where they were taken) can be obtained? Thanks for the assist. Joe Abbott in San Francisco, CA.
