I am searching for my grandfathers parents. My grandfather, Walter James Johnson was born in Brooklyn NY August 19, 1915. His parents were Walter James Johnson (b. 1885) and Harriet Smith (b. 1895/6). Both parents were from the Spottswood(?) area. Harriet died in childbirth approx. 1918-9. She had one other son, Floyd Johnson b. 1917. My grandfather was left in the care of Fannie and George Walters who owned a farm in Spottswood N.J. Fannie was Harriet's half sister (Same mother/Different fathers). Eventually my grandfather left the farm and moved to Tom's River where he worked on a Chicken farm.
