Looking for info on my Stevens family . Any info on this surname appreciated.- Cheryl cherylnatriello@e-mail.msn.com
No problem here, and I am using IE5 also. I don't see any active-x or java on the page that might trigger a lockup. Try the following URL for the home page instead, and see if it makes any difference: http://hawkmail.monmouth.edu/~ochs/ Jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Bartlett" <bobbart@mindspring.com> To: <NJOCEAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, January 15, 2000 8:12 AM Subject: OCHS Site > http://hawkmail.monmouth.edu/%7Eochs/ > > has any one else had trouble accessing the Ocean County Historical Site? Looking for information on Mary TILTON, who married Richard Phillips in Monmouth Co. on October 29, 1815. Checking the 1850 census, I found a Richard Phillips and his wife Mary in Dover Township, Ocean Co., with children Richard (17), Caroline (11) and Albert (9). They also had a daughter Sarah Ann (my ancestor) who was married by then. I am also related to Johnson families who lived in Dover. I am trying to get more information on Mary TILTON. She is not listed in the Tilton book, and I am stumped at this point. One of my ancestors gave each of their children a middle name that was a family surname: Conover, Van Tyne, P. (Phillips?), Holmes and Tilton--all NJ, by the way. I have found the first three; still looking for the last two. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Patty

To: Bill Collins Subject: Reply regarding data on Jacob LIPPINCOTT, b. ca 1780 in NJ. Other than his marriage in 1806 to Deborah (BURDGE) widow of Elisha MORRIS, in Monmouth Co NJ - his birth year & place is all I have. This is a long-standing search & cssp with Olsen (Lippincott researcher & author) still considers him as "ancestry unknown". Please reply privately, since I receive Ocean Co as a digest list. Once Jacob is correctly placed within one of the Lippincott families, I will advise Judith Olsen and the list group. Thx. Susan Bidwell Williams slw02@sprynet.com
Susan Is that "all" you have on Jacob LIPPINCOTT ? There were several in NJ that would qualify...... Well, Bill, now that is a *lot* of Ivinses - are you sure you want them *all*? I've got Henry Sr., who was shipwrecked in Bermuda and made his way with his pregnant wife to Jamestown, where Henry Jr. was born 1610/ll. Henry Jr. eventually went to Racoon Creek (NJ) and established a trading post for furs which he sold in New Amsterdam. First child was Daniel, born c 1647 at Penn's Neck. Daniel married a "woman from the Fenwick group" and first child Isaac was born 1680. Isaac married Lydia Brown. I have the source citations if you want them. Barbara
