    1. Re: [NJMORRIS] Re: SHAUGER in Morris Co,NJ
    2. Hello, My G-Aunt was Almira/Elmyra Shauger/Shawger. And she had a brother and a father whose name was George Shauger. Her mother's name was Mary Ann. The son George was born in 1833. My G-Aunt was born in the 1840's, at the trail of the large family. She married my G-Uncle, Andrew H. Hamler, b. Sussex Co., NJ and they lived in Sussex County. My G-Aunt died in 1911 and Andrew died in the 1930's. He fought in the Civil War. Elmyra and Andrew and a few family members are buried at Tranquility Methodist Cemetery, Green Twp, Sus Co, NJ. I am sorry that I don't have more info about either of the George Shaugers; I do believe that Elmyra was born in Morris County. Thanks for the tip of where to look for information... Let me know if I can help you. My main thrust of research is my maiden name "Hamler."
