Maryann, Is your John Johnson related to *my* John Johnson of Sussex Co., NJ? My John Johnson was the son-in-law of William H. Hamler (II), having married W.H. Hamler's daughter Ida May Hamler, b. 22 Sep 1872. I believe that Ida spent most of her time in Sussex Co., NJ though the 1880 Census has her being born in Pennsylvania. Here's an Obit and Cemetery record I have of my John Johnson: "Andover Cemetery Record, Kemp & Hamler Plot. Section V, plot 9..." [p. 23 Josephine (Jennie Baldwin Hamler)Kemp ] "10/18/36 John Johnson, d. age 52. (William H. Hamler's son-in-law) John Johnson was married to Ida Hamler; his family bought Jenning's Farm, just below Marksboro"(New Jersey Herald, 5/12/21.)
