I came across a few pages from the booklet Tombstones of the Presbyterian Burial Ground, compiled and published by the First Presbyterian Church of Rockaway, New Jersey. In it I found an entry for: Frances J Rowe 1848-1927 Mary E. Barton -hs wf (Frances J.) 1851-1877 My gg-grandfather Henry Rowe came to the US c 1867. He was preceded by his older brother William and a younger brother James. They had a younger (youngest) brother named Francis (sp? Frances) who was born in 1848. I have not been able to find anything on whatever happened to him after his entry in the 1861 census of Cornwall at age 13. The entry in the burial book makes me wonder if he emigrated from Cornwall and joined his brothers in New Jersey, remaining there with James while the others (Henry and William) moved on to Upper Michigan. I would greatly appreciate it if you might look in the sources your have access to to see if there is anything about this Francis(es) Rowe to see if he is the long-lost brother for which I have been searching. If anyone happens to be going through death records of 1927, I would very much appreciate their keeping an eye out for his record and letting me know what it says. Some extra info on Francis: He was born in Marazion/St. Hilary in 1848 (acc. to census). His father was Henry Rowe, and his mother Jane Renowden. Also, I am interested in finding anything on a sister of these four brothers. Louisa, bc 1842 in Marazion, Cornwall (as were they), married Samuel Caddy in 1861. I haven't found anything on them after that. They do not appear in the 1871 census of Cornwall nor on the IGI. Thanks in advance. I appreciate your help so much. Kathy Rowe Atwood
