Hello all, I am looking for info about my GGGGreat Grandfather John Johnson. John was born between 1795 and 1800. All I know Is He married Elizabeth Maiden name might have been Merrick. I have been told that they might have been born in New York. I know that they had 3 children Rebecca Johnson, William Johnson and John Johnson.         *William Johnson was born around 1836 in Orange County NY and was a civil War vet. He was married to Mary ann Decker had 4 children. They lived in Vernon NJ then married to Margaret Fichter/ Victor and Had two more children *John W. Johnson 1872 - 1904 and Anna (Annie) Johnson born in 1869 They lived in Morris county Roxbury Twp.         Rebecca we know was born about 1840 and died about 1879. She was married to Issac Babcock Jan. 2, 1861 in Amity, Orange Co. NY . They lived in Vernon NJ. and had 7 children.         John was born in abt. 1843 in New foundland NJ and died Aug. 30, 1854 of Damps in Vernon, NJ. He was a miner age 13. At the time of his death His mother Elizabeth called her self Betsy. Anyone who knows anything about this family please let me know.
