I'm sorry to say that he passed away in his 50's several years ago. When Pequannock Township was founded in 1740 it covered about 1/3 of present day Morris County and included lands in the present day municipalities of Town of Boonton, Township of Boonton, Borough of Butler, Township of Denville, Township of Jefferson, Borough of Kinnelon, Borough of Lincoln Park, Township of Montville, Borough of Riverdale, and Township of Rockaway. The nearest to Morristown would have been in Boonton or Montville and that would have been abou 8 miles.
