I am interested in the family of Rev. Stephen Grover, minister of the First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell circa 1800-1830. He was married to Mary Byram, a descendant of Mayflower immigrant John Alden. He had a brother, Rev. Joseph Grover (about whom I have nothing more) and a sister, Abigail Grover, possibly born at Parsippany, Morris County, NJ, who married 1) Zenas Crane (with whom she had at least four children) and 2) John Sturdavant. I have nothing on the Grover ancestry. Rev. Stephen Grover and his wife Mary Byram had at least 5 children: 1. Rosalinda Grover m Joseph Freeman Crowell a. Nov 1820 d. 1849 m. Samuel A. Brower c. Amzi Dodd b. 3 Mar 1823 d. 1913 m. Jane Frame d. Stephen Grover Dodd b. 1826 d. 1912 m. Eliza Shaw e. Abby Maria Dodd b. 1828 d 1916 3. James Wheelock Grover 4 May 1795 4. John Grover b: Mar 1799, died young 5. Harriet Pierson Grover b: 1801 d. 1 Dec 1835 m William Brown Baldwin and had children Any assistance would be welcome.
