Reverend Hooper Cumming was the Pastor at the Newark Second Presbyterian Church from 1811-1815. He was the Pastor at Albany's (NY) Third Presbyterian Church from 1817-1823. I am wondering whether he was a Pastor in Morristown or someplace else in Morris County prior to 1815. My ancestor ABIGAIL CHARLOT GILLESPIE, who lived in Morristown and Basking Ridge suddenly lived in Newark and then Albany. Call it an incredible coincidence but it was the same time as Reverend Cumming was in Newark and Albany. She was widowed at this time and perhaps he was family (can't figure out how) or she was just another Presbyterian 'groupie'! I recall once seeing an Ann Cumming married to a Marsh or a Charlot?
