Who were his children's children, etc. and spouses? Is he related to the * Hamler who was married to Anna Elizabeth Schmidt Bapt. 01 Mar 1713, NY? ["The Palatine Families of NY- 1710," by Hank Z. Jones Jr.] Johannes ("Hans") Hamler was b. 1713 in Gemingen, Germany>NY>Somerset Co., NJ. There are many of the same first names in Johannes's family as there are in Anna (Schmidt) Hamler's children's names: Andrew HAMLER Mary HAMLER Eva HAMLER Jacob HAMLER Peter HAMLER Nicolas HAMLER Elizabeth (Elisabeth) HAMLER Eva Hammler was Johannes's mother's name; Andrew Hamler appears in early NJ Tax Lists (1778, Somerset Co. where the Nicholas Hammler family came to live after arriving at the Port of New York) & I have a g-Uncle named Andrew Hamler; and Nicholas was Johannes's brother's and father's name. Several of us have been working on this conundrum for a long time. My GGrandfather was William H. Hamler (1807, Sussex Co, NJ - 1854, Sussex Co, NJ) Don't know who his father was but his father and he were all born in Sussex County, NJ; and my father, the late (John) Kenneth Hamler, was born in Morris County, NJ in 1908. Thanks for any tips and advice! Kathleen
