Charles H. Tunis, b: 1839, Morristown. Maybe 1840 or up census would have his parents. If I can get that I would probably be able to find the rest of the family. Thanks for all you do.. Lea Hi Lea, Ok I found on the 1850 census: BENJAMIN, Stout(?) C., age 85, M, Farmer, born in NJ TUNIS, Stephen W., age 32, M TUNIS, Mary age 44, F SPENSER(?), Sarah M, 18, F TUNIS, Charles H., age 10, M. I would assume from this that Stephen and Mary were Charles' parents, and that Stout Benjamin was Mary's father and they were living with him. Not sure about the Sarah. Of course, that's all assumption unless you find something else to support it. I also found a birth record on the LDS site for a Carry Tunis (female), born February 13, 1863 to a Stephen W. Tunis and wife Sarah J. Tunis... in Hanover, Morris New Jersey. This could mean that Mary was not Stephen's wife, or maybe she was, and she died and he remarried a Sarah J. (this record was extracted from the records in the area, not submitted by members of the church.)
