    3. Hi Kevin and gang, I just checked on the census again. None of these families has any connection to me, but I tweaked my interest. The families are all in the middle of the census returns for Chatham (pages 340+). Many of them had just arrived ― having 3 year-olds born in Martinique and most of them had lands valued at $3,000, well above average. Some names: ?ere, Victor, 38, Gentlemen Ernest duChamp, 34, and family, Anna 3, born on Martinique, Louisa 3 months, born NJ Reynal Beaupland age 66, born Guadaloupe. and family De Gage Martinique Massias REgna Leo Duchamp It makes Chatham seem more exotic. And as for the mysterious Charles Locander, who color pencil sketch of the Ashby house in Livingston is in my g grandmother's autograph book? 1882. What was he doing in Livingston? Wilson
