Any help would be great! thank you, Duane Hi Duane, Well not sure what you are looking for, but here is what I came up with on a quick search: Oh my goodness, I can't believe it! Your Ikes in 1870 live four houses down from my NJ ancestors!!! My ancestors are listed as Egnot Sheazer & family on the 1870 census (but is usually spelled Shazer or Shasser or Schassar, etc). That is so neat, our ancestors knew each other!! :) In the 1870 census, I have an Isaac Ike, age 45 (born in 1824) living in Roxbury, Morris County, New Jersey. He is a farmer. He is living with Julia age 42, Mary age 21, Jacob age 19, Sarah age 14, Edward age 5. There is also a Jacob Ike, age 81 living with them. This could be Isaac's father or grandfather? There is also another Isaac Ike in the 1870 census living in Frankford, Sussex Co., NJ. He is age 25, born in 1844 in New Jersey, and is living with a George (?) Ike age 54, Sarah Ike age 52, Johnas(?) Ike age 18, George E. Ike age 12. They live next door to an Albert Ike age 28, Caroline Ike age 26, Edgar Ike age 1 and a Laurie(?)E. age 8. Not sure if these are yours or not, but thought I'd throw them in too. In the 1880 census, it looks like your Isaac remarried, he is listed as still living in Roxbury, Morris, NJ age 55 but his wife is now Margrett(?) age 46, they live with Isaac's son Edward G. Ike age 15, Herburt Hoole age 16 listed as 'step son', Luther O. Hoole age 14 step son, Iathma Hoole age 12 step daughter, Elsworth Hoole age 5 step son. There are also many people listed as 'boarders' with them. Listed in the 1887-1888 Dover, New Jersey Directory is an Isaac A. Ike, Location 1 is "Randolph c. Elliot". Isaac A. Ike is also listed in the 1890-1891 Dover, New Jersey Directory. He is listed as a 'laborer' and Location 2 is "Randolph Avenue Corner Blackwell." There is an Isaac Ike listed in the 1850 Lafayette Township, Sussex County, New Jersey census, but no image is available so I don't know who was with him. There is also an Isaac Ike listed in the 1860 Roxbury Township, Morris County, New Jersey census, but no image is available for that one either. Hope some of this helped! Happy hunting! Kerri
