For those who may not know, you can do FREE 1880 census lookups at the LDS site, plus they have TONS more information, things that I never found on ancestry.com OR genealogy.com. I had some elusive relatives that I could never find anything for on either of my paid subscriptions, but on the LDS site I found birth records from churches for three of the children! It is an awesome resource, especially if you're at a brick wall! Just go to www.familysearch.org and click on SEARCH FOR ANCESTORS and type in your ancestor's name. Then if you find info that you need, you can usually write down the microfilm number and go to an LDS family history center (they have them all over the world and if you need to find one near you, they have the resources to do that also on the website) and order the microfilms to borrow.
