Lucy: I agree. I have Nancy Smith, b. Feb. 10,1811 in NJ, d. sept. 27/1882 and m. to Stephen Dickerson May, 26, 1828 at Mt. Freedom, NJ. Her parents are reputed to be "Hetty" Mehitable Youngs and John Smith, no info, and John Smith's parents are supposed to be William Smith of Vermont, d. in Rockaway {he is said to have fallen through the ice) and Christiana Derling on Shongum. She is said to have died in Rockaway, Morris, NJ and had 19 children. This info is all from Crayon's Rockaway Records of Morris County, NJ Families pub. in Rockaway 1902.
