    1. Change in RootsWeb "Subject" Line??

    3. To List Owners, Has there been a change in the e-mail "Subject" line routing on RootsWeb mailing lists? I've received messages today (01/15/01) from both the Middlesex and Morris counties lists WITHOUT the familiar "NJ(county)" prefix in the Subject line. (See Below) Like most folks, I'm inundated with SPAM and skim my e-mail - deleting those I don't recognize. Today I deleted several inquiries from list members simply because the "NJ(county)" prefix was not there. If this is new coding - is it possible to return to the old one? There really isn't enough time in the day to read all messages before deleting them. Thanks, John Cresseveur - KY Headings as received, the "To" address does not appear, only the "Sender" and the "Subject" line: To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, January 15, 2001 3:38 PM Subject: Bartholomew MARTIN 1711 To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, January 15, 2001 2:59 PM Subject: Days of Morris Co. 3. Each listowner sets whether he/she wants a prefix in their list's subject line individually. Some have 'em, some don't. You might want to try a email/newsreader that allows filtering. If you sort your email into folders on the To: address, you begin to appreciate not having the extra space taken up by the prefixes in the subject line. Happy researching!
