WOOD, Hopefull & GAUDIN, David. Hi Members, Does anyone have info as to female Hopefull WOOD or David GAUDEN who were wed on 27july1747, at the First Presbyterian Church of Hopewell New Jersy, or for that matter, any male WOOD who might be a sibling of Hopefull who wed David GAUDEN. It seems GAUDEN is a French surname? I have male GGGG Grandfather, Hopewell "Hopeful" WOOD who's birth, I have estimated between 1745-1750, by birth year of my GGG Grandfather Hezekiah WOOD who was born in 1774( from his tombstone) . In my searching I first find GGGG Grandfather Hopeful WOOD in the 1778 Census for Saint James Parish, Anne Arundel County, Maryland; about the same time he is also listed as a co-petitioner while in the Maryland Militia during the Revolution.
