    3. Hi Folks! This is great news for NJ researchers! Regards Joan M. Earlier this month, we accessioned the wills from 1901-1952 formerly on file with the Superior Court of New Jersey. This consists of 2,239 reels of microfilm and 371 drawers of index cards. The collection is fully accessible for in-person use in the Archives' public research rooms. Mail reference service is also available for $5 per will packet; researchers should note that estate inventories are rare for the post-1900 period. The State Archives has also recently accessioned later records of the Prerogative Court (up to 1948) and the Chancery Court (up to 1886). Copies of specific court case files can be requested by mail; the charge is $1 per page. Send requests to New Jersey State Archives, P.O. Box 307, 225 West State St., Trenton, NJ 08625-0307. Payment should be made to New Jersey General Treasury. The State Archives' regular public hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:30, except state holidays. We will be posting additional information about the expanded holdings of estate records soon, at the Archives' website: www.njarchives.org Happy hunting! Joseph R. Klett Chief of Archives P.S. Please forward to any relevant genealogical or historical listserves or bulletin boards. Thank you.

    3. Greetings from Kalamazoo and a request for a bit of help. I am seeking information about one Elisha B Earle (it may also be Earl, Earls, or Earles) of Denville, NJ who died Nov 1918. There is information that he married a Dickinson but there is also census information that he may have been married twice. Does any one out there have any knowledge where he may have been buried or where one could find an obituary/death notice for him. Yes, there is his death certificate but that takes time! I will do that but in the meantime your help would be most appreciated esp re the obit! Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Kurt in Kzo

    2. Maryann, Is your John Johnson related to *my* John Johnson of Sussex Co., NJ? My John Johnson was the son-in-law of William H. Hamler (II), having married W.H. Hamler's daughter Ida May Hamler, b. 22 Sep 1872. I believe that Ida spent most of her time in Sussex Co., NJ though the 1880 Census has her being born in Pennsylvania. Here's an Obit and Cemetery record I have of my John Johnson: "Andover Cemetery Record, Kemp & Hamler Plot. Section V, plot 9..." 1. Re: [NJMORRIS] Re: SHAUGER in Morris Co,NJ
    2. Hello, My G-Aunt was Almira/Elmyra Shauger/Shawger. And she had a brother and a father whose name was George Shauger. Her mother's name was Mary Ann. The son George was born in 1833. My G-Aunt was born in the 1840's, at the trail of the large family. She married my G-Uncle, Andrew H. Hamler, b. Sussex Co., NJ and they lived in Sussex County. My G-Aunt died in 1911 and Andrew died in the 1930's. He fought in the Civil War. Elmyra and Andrew and a few family members are buried at Tranquility Methodist Cemetery, Green Twp, Sus Co, NJ. I am sorry that I don't have more info about either of the George Shaugers; I do believe that Elmyra was born in Morris County. Thanks for the tip of where to look for information... Let me know if I can help you. My main thrust of research is my maiden name "Hamler." 3. I have recently become aware that my ggggg grandmother was probably Dutch. Her name was Mabel Johnson b.1758, father Alexander Johnson, son of John Johnson. He is the son of Wouter Jansen. John Johnson lived in Hanover, NJ. I am looking for any information about this family. I would like to know where Mabel is likely to have been buried. I have a record of what is on her tombstone, but not where it is. Mabel was married to John Cook of Hanover. I'm hoping he is next to her. So my question is, is there a Dutch cemetery in Morris County? Thanks, Maryann

    3. Rollin, This info I'm suggesting is just a theory at this time, but keep it on the back burner. I am interested in the ZINDLE family in Morris County. I have a note on MARY ZINDLE (1808?-1885?) that married GEORGE B SHAUGER (b.1800-1820 - d.before 1880) MARY ZINDLE was either a daughter or Grand-daughter of LEOPOLD ZINDLE. I have seen LEOPOLD ZINDLE's name with a spelling of LAPOLT ZINDLE in some early records. This makes me wonder if George B and Mary Zindle Shauger are perhaps the parents of LAPOLT SHAUGER that's all I have on the name SHAUGER. There are also SHAWGER names in Morris County in early/mid 1800 period. ********************** did some digging - look at this website http://www.rootsweb.com/~njmorris/cemeteries/rockaway5.htm Abram W Shawger is listed as son of Leopalt Shawger in cemetary records ********************** Joe in Richmond ----- Original Message ----- From: <Rollin933@cs.com> To: <NJMORRIS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, August 31, 2003 9:24 PM Subject: [NJMORRIS] (no subject) > Hello; My name is Rollin from Michigan and would like any > information on Labolt Shauger.
