Hi list - My gggrandfather Samuel A. Wilson moved his family to Seven Bridge Rd on Gooseneck (near Oceanport) around 1872, after owning a sash factory in Brooklyn since c. 1855. What is it like on Gooseneck? Are there any old houses in the vicinity? Does anyone have any information on this family? His wife was Ann Jane Blair, children John Blair (married Cora --), Annie (m. William Reed), Samuel W. (m. Mary --), Charlotte (m. Thaddeus Frazer), Mary (Mamie) (m. Will Robbins), Harry, Florence (single). Samuel's parents were John and Mary Wilson, who may or may not be from this area. John may have had something to do with steam ship (tug boat) building. Also Ann Blair's parents John and Elizabeth Blair lived in the area. John was a ship carpenter. I am trying to discover connections of these families to ship building in the area in NJ/NY area. Any leads appreciated. Janet Sheridan
