    2. This is the will of Joseph Parker who I thought was the father of my Peter Parker. This will mentions a son Peter parker but also mentions his wife Sarah (I was expecting Hannah (Slocum)) and other children, none of which look correct. Maybe Joseph remarried. Does anybody know or have any ideas? People mentioned are wife Sarah, children Peter, Elias, Sarah Ann, Elizabeth A., brother John, and nephew Elisha Lippincott In the name of God Amen, I Joseph Parker of Long Branch in the Township of Shrewsbury County of Monmouth and State of New Jersey being of sound mind, memory, and understanding (for which blessing I most devoutly thank God) do make and publish this my last will and testament in manners? following that is to say; First- It is my will, and I do order, that all my just debt and expenses be duly paid and satisfied, as soon as conveniently can be, after my decease, and for the payment of which, if there should not be sufficient ready money on hand together with money collectable on Bonds, Notes, Ie, then I direct my Executor to make sale of so much of my movable property as will be sufficient for that purpose. Second- I give, Bequeath and Devise unto my beloved wife, Sarah Parker, all that Farm whereon I reside, ,which I purchased of my son Peter Parker ???ials on Long Branch in the Township of Shrewsbury, County of Monmouth containing about 30 acres with its ???dits amenity and appertinence, during her widowhood for her support and maintainance and to enable her to bring up and Educate my two children namely Elias Parker and Sarah Ann Parker. And after the marriage or decease of my said wife,- I Give and devise the said farm with its appertenances to my said son Elias Parker and said daughter Sarah Ann Parker their heirs and assigns, equally share and share alike. I also Give and Bequeath to my said Son Elias my Bureau which I got from the Estate of my Brother John Parker deceased and to my said Daughter Sarah Ann I Give and Bequeath one looking Globe and Eight Cane Bottom chairs. Third- I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth A Parker our green and white china tea set, sixteen fancy bush? bottom chairs, six green window chairs, five looking globes, three dining tables, two breakfast tables, two stands, our rag carpet, all my silver, table and tea ??? markred J.H.P, one mahogany bureau, one cherry ditt???, one pair brass candlesticks, one pair of small brass ??? ???, two best beds, bedding & bedsteads? all of which are ???ially in her posession, together with sundry other houshold goods which I have or shall allow her to take possesion of. Fourth- All the rest and residue of my moveable estate of whatever kind and description it may be, not herein before disposed of, I give and bequeath to my said wife Sarah Parker until my youngest child arrives at the age of twenty one years, then it is my will that the same be equally divided share and share alike between my said wife and my aforesaid two children Elias and Sarah Ann. Lastly, I hereby nominate and appoint my nephew Elisha Lippincott sole executor of this my last will and testament. In witness wherof I have ??????? this twenty sixth day of June in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight (1848) witnesses... looks like he died in 1851... -Jeff
