Last week end, May 26, 2002 I attended the Ellisdale Methodist Church 150th anniversary celebration 1852-2002, where I attended as a child and my sister Margery Reuter and our parents still attend. They had a lot of memorabilia displayed including the old record books, which unfortunately are only complete going back to 1874 and not to 1852 when the church was formed. The church has been associated with Crosswicks, sharing ministers over the years. In the program handed out was a history of the church and it listed the ministers since the beginning. I will copy them here in hopes it may be useful to someone. I am posting this to Monmouth and Burlington Lists as the county line goes along the road in front of the church. The church and cemetery are in Burlington county, many members lived in Monmouth. Ellisdale was known as Shelltown until 1875.
