Hi List, To all that responded to my request for the subject address, a hardy 'thank you.' I hope to visit the area next week and walk the near by cemeteries. My PATTERSON family branch lived and died in the area going back to 1760 according to bible notes. Josiah Patterson, Sr(1760-1825) m. Lydia (1789-1863). Where Josiah Sr came from I haven't been able to find out, but family data show that four generations, at least, lived in the farm house that was probably built by Josiah Sr. The property where the house stood in West Farms is now owned by an outfit that trains horses. Before my uncle (mother's brother) passed away, I had him draw me a sketch of how he remembered the farm layout - where the house was, etc. I remember my grandmother speaking of how they kept the milk and butter in some sort of arrange- ment in the creek to keep it cold. When I was about 4 or 5 years old, (1931-32) I remember visiting the farm house with my mother. It was sorely in need of repair by then. Aunt Kesiah Patterson (who married Calib L. White) was ill in bed but she raised up to greet us. It was night and dark inside except for the lamp by her bed. Ted Page, Brevard, NC
