Hi, I am looking for NJ connections to a DANIEL family that possibly migrated, first to NC and second to GA, after the Revolution. I am especially looking for a Robert C. DANIEL (about 1765-after 1830) who migrated from NC to Burke County, GA in 1812. They may have been DANIEL, McDANIEL, O'DANIEL or even McDONALD. They may have been Quakers, but not necessarily so. There should be POTTER, TILTON, HARTSHORNE, WHITE, STOCKTON and possibly BEDLOE, BOLTON, HARKER, WHITEHEAD, EVANS, CLARK, TATUM and other families that were part of the "island trading community" between St. Croix, Barbados, Bermuda, NJ, NYC and Maryland in the pre-RW period. None of these families were share croppers and they were all well educated, professionals... John R.
