I have hit a "brick wall", does anyone have any ideas? I have a ggrandfather (LaCour) born in 1843 in NYC. I cannot find anything about his father (Wiliam Lacour or LaCour). I know his mother remarried (in NJ) a few years after he was born. I have checked the FHL microfilm for death register in NYC for these dates (1842-1849), nothing. Do I just give up and consider him lost or do I have another avenue to investigate? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks. Linda La Cour
