In an 1811 deed I'm researching I find reference to "... a bridge over the Musquash Brook known by the name of the Burnt bridge.." Musquash Brook is runs into Musquash Cove which is in the northwestern corner of Shark River. The early maps I have show the cove and the brook but no bridge. This is not the bridge on Lakewood Road - that bridge was built much later. Can anyone help? Joe in Asheville, NC
