List members, especially those outside New Jersey, should realize there is a fiscal crises in the State, not merely the current one of balancing the budget, but a larger matter of elected officials that are afraid to tax to address revenue needs through taxation. Among the fallout is a tendency to increase fees so users bear a greater part of the cost for their contacted agency. This posture has many more serious and greater consequences, such as public expenses falling on the more vulnerable bodies, the municipalities, and payers, the individual property owners whose real estate taxes are incredibly high.
