Two pieces of information. I went to the Census web site and they have a new program to transcribe Censuses with. It is in beta version. I downloaded the Mac version and it is a very nice File Maker Pro data base. Very easy to work with. Unfortunagely it only has templates at present for 3 Census years. More to come soon. I got a copy of the Burlington County 1860 Census CDs (2) from Heritage Quest. They look great. The viewer lets you magnify the entries which appear much better than those on a reader. It is for PC machines (or a Mac with special software). If the hand writing is horable, it won't help a lot, but will help with those pages that are light on film. Rick
