OK, folks, here's another 'fishing' expedition of mine... among my GASTON notes is included 'Notes by a Samuel H. Schenck,1896'. is there a SCHENCK [or GASTON] researcher out there familiar with such notes or more research by this fellow, who might help me find any published info to help me sort out these GASTONs? JOHN GASTON had a mill in Upper Freehold [now Perrineville, it says] Monmouth Co., John ELY was the surveyor and the grantor was a WYCKOFF [I'm going for the deed soon]. also, would any helpful records exist if an ancestor was a surveyor of roads?
