    3. Volunteers and potential volunteers, I know it has been a long silence but, I finally got my order of 1910 census CD's from Heritage Quest a couple days ago. I was told they were held up for a month because the machine they were using to clean up the images was down, so they weren't ready. Then when they sent my order recently, they didn't realize that I had ordered multiple copies, and only sent one. So I had to wait to get that straightened out and the whole order is finally here. The images look pretty good, but I have not started my transcription yet. You can zoom in and out and reverse negative to positive which sometimes helps with light images and lots of other features. So if you all ready requested a donor/loaner CD or would like to request a CD to work from for the transcription I will send them. Of course I will need smail addresses for all volunteers that I don't all ready have them for. If you don't want to send the address on email, write to me at Anita Clayton 275 Chestnut Neck Rd. Port Republic, NJ 08241. (609-652-0398) For those who sent donations thank you for your generosity. If you still want to donate $ for donor/loaner CDs and/or other expenses or if you would like to volunteer to transcribe, we still have needs. I will send the list of EDs as assigned so far separately so as not to make this too long. If you are receiving a donated CD to use we will need them back at some point to pass on for others to use. Some volunteers have purchased their own, either on their own or through me and of course will keep them. I have Sharon's and Linda's addresses and will mail theirs off. There a few who asked for CD's for whom I don't have addresses - Debbie Price and Julie Baechle. Some who I am not clear if they are planning to use the donated CD's or not -Esther Wright, Carolyn Johnson, Candy B, Richard, Rick, and maybe others. If I missed your request please write to me. I have plenty of blank 1910 census forms from the LDS Family History Center which I can mail to volunteers. They come in packs of 25, double sided, for a total of 34 names per paper. You will need them to transcribe onto from the films or CD's. The information from the forms will be entered into a computer program either by you or a typing volunteer. Then we will proof read, which I will not get into details for now. I need to make an accounting of the money I have received - 20.00 from Linda for a CD for her use and 5.05 donation (will use on postage /copying /forms) 44.85 from Sharon for 2 CD's for her use & a donation of 14.95 for a donor/loaner CD 30.00 from Pat for 2 donor/loaner CD's (and .10 change to postage /copying /forms) 59.80 from Anita for 2 CD's for own use & 2 donor/loaners CD's total $154.65 (149.50 for 10 CD's @ $14.95 each and 5.15 toward postage /copying forms) We still need more money and volunteers. Thanks to all who have send donations and are volunteering, you are the greatest! Anita rclaytonsr@juno.com
