Hi, Ruth and all, The festival is actually a Celtic Festival (not just Scottish) and will be held in Count Basie Park which is on Henry St. just off Newman Springs Rd. (Route 520) - actually the park runs between West Bergen Pl. and the back of businesses on Newman Springs Rd. The Volvo dealership is at the corner. There will be parking at a business on West Bergen Place and a shuttle to bring you the short distance to the park - also walkable if you would rather. If you are coming by way of the Garden State Parkway - take 520 East and it will be on your left after you cross the railroad tracks near the new Edwards supermarket. From Route 35, it is the first street on your right after getting on Route 520. You can't miss it - just look for the GPU Substation wires - the one that caused our blackout last summer!!! Hope this helps. -- Candy_B cbservices@monmouth.com Researching Bennett, Cooper, Vanderveer, Woolley & related families in NJ Researching O'Brien, Brown, Boyle, Cavanaugh, Noonan, Fitzgerald, Spellman, Messier (Macey), LaCroix (Cross), Blais (Blair), Durand, Simonneau, Chabbot (Jabbot, Jabaut), Boucher, Sharron and related families in NY, New England and Quebec > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Ruth <ruthsrescue@erols.com> > To: <NJMONMOU-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Saturday, May 06, 2000 7:18 AM > Subject: [NJMONMOU] Red Bank Scottish Festival > > > Good Morning, > > Today, there is a Festival of Scottish mass bands being held in Red > > Bank, NJ.
