Would like to start pulling together clues/sources on Benjamin Thorp/Tharp, who in 1789 removed from Shrewsbury (NJ) in order to settle in the state of Virginey. Other names on this item in the Seventh Day Baptist church records are: Jacob Davis, William Davis, Sr., Ephriam Maxson, Thomas Babcock, Zebulon Maxson, and Benjamin Thorp. The other lines are pretty well documented ... but what about the ancestors of Benjamin Thorp (who married Elisabeth Maxson about 1788/1789 and he died 15 Apr 1804). Elisabeth is the daughter of Zebulon Maxson, Sr. and Experience Davis. She married 2nd on 20 July 1807 to Enoch Moore. But I need to know more about Benjamin Thorp/Tharp.
