I would like to request help with my own MORRIS deadend: Mary Elizabeth MORRIS married George E. ARCHER on July 25, 1869 at the Reformed Church of Long Branch. She was age 22 at the time, so she was probably born in 1846 or 1847. The 1880 census stated she was born in New York. My grandfather, Clarence Nathaniel HORNER, was buried in the MORRIS plot at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport, so I assume that the MORRIS individuals in the plot were related to his grandmother. I have not been able to visit the plot to check out the MORRIS burials, but perhaps will have a chance to do this on August 24th or 25th when I will be visiting NJ (I live in VA). Another clue is that Mary Elizabeth (MORRIS) ARCHER's husband's estate was administered by a Clifton L. MORRIS, undertaker, in September 1926. Perhaps he was a brother-in-law. Does anyone have my Mary Elizabeth MORRIS in their family tree, or know of any MORRIS individuals from NY who settled in or near Long Branch? Regards, Margaret demarco@ix.netcom.com
