(Yes, I know I am cutting on Newark airport), but it has to be the worst airport I have ever been in. We spent 10 hours up there in January 1994 in an ice strom, not even a place to sit down then except on the heating duckwork in front of the windows. Hope it has improved in 6 years. And if it has I apologize. NJ has some really bad places and some really nice places, like the tiny rural town I live in where the Battle of Chestnut Neck was fought in 1777 or 8 just down my road. For a tiny state it has very varied scenery from one end to the other. Nothing spectactular like the west, or as pretty as the coast of Maine, but nice. For the number of people here there are remarkably empty places, like the Pine Barrens, along Rt. 539 which I travel at least once a week, not a building for miles. People who haven't been here are always surprised. It may be the proverbial NJ joke "What exit do you live at?" and I do live 2 miles from exit 48 of the Garden State Parkway (Mile marker 46.3 is 500 feet behind the woods in back of my house), but hey, I can live with that. :-) (Hope I'm not starting something here) Anita NJ born, bred and raised (back to colonial times, but I have been out on occasion)
