Hi Everyone, My 4th great grandparents' surname was Stoney (Captain Stoney and family). It is documented that there was a Stoney Family Burial Ground. It was located, near the Bedle property, adjacent to what is now Beers Street and Bethany Road, Hazlet, New Jersey. It is around upper Luppatatong Creek, which was called Rock Brook. On the 1851 map, R. Bele was depicted as living on one side of the road and J. Stoney, on the other side. It is my understanding that both the pond that was there and my family burial ground have since been removed. Captain Stoney's house still stands at the corner of Green Grove Avenue, from what I have been told. At present, I cannot physically search for myself; therefore, I need help to determine whether or not the Stoney burial ground is there or not, and if not, I'd like to know where the graves were relocated to. I would sincerely appreciate any input anyone can offer regarding this matter. Thank You, Ruth Sickles, Marcine
