I'm reading a few pages xeroxed from 'Early Dutch Settlers of Monmouth". I'm reading the Dutch who came from w Long Island to Monmouth 1698-1708 in 1709 started a Reformed Dutch church in Monmouth with Daniel Hendrickson as elder, and Jacob Van Dorn as deacon. And then Rev Bernardus Freeman,of Kings,L.I. installed Joseph Morgan as minister. Though my wife had Dutch in Monmouth, this minute my interest is in the Pole,Antoni Sadowski, who m Marye Bordt [Bird] at Flatlands,RDC ,kINGS,1690'S,and 1707 was twice on merchant,JOHN Bowne's estate inventory-once for land [?] .I assume Antoni migrated with the Flatlands church Dutch to Monmouth, but later,he,and his,was with Abe's Lincoln's. SE Berks[Philadelphia] Co ,Pa had the Boone's,Lincoln's,and Sandusky's. 1720's Then, Brock's Gap thru North Mt on the west side of the Shenadoah Co had Boones [1 year] ,Lincoln's and Sandusky's. Lincoln's followed Sandusky's to early Ky- Washington Co,area. Anyway, I'm searching records of the earliest Dutch in Momouth. I "think' the church fell 1st in Middletown, then Holmdel, and finally Marlboro twnsp.west of Pleasant Valley. Over the years,it became called Marlboro Brick Reformed [Dutch] church. I don't know the original name. I assume the 1st Dutch must have taked their pre-1709 babies back to Long Island to be Christened. Or Staten Island? The Pole,Antoni Sadowski, was an Indian trader in se Pa,if not in ne NJ. My wife has 2 NJ Johnson's who intermarried with Dutch,if not Dutch thenselves. Antoni Sadowski should have been Christening babies in his Monmouth Co,NJ years. Was in se BERKS Co,Pa by 1715-20. At least,he was there part of the year. His daughters married men, with similar surnames to men on John Bowne's inventory of 1707. John Warren [Warring, etc] and Isaac Johnson. Another m a n Increase Miller, with Holmes blood. Pa marriages. Antoni's son,Andrew , m [2nd?] an INSKEEP. ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Juno now offers FREE Internet Access!
