Hi Donna, There is a Philip Main listed in the Daughters of the American Revolution lineage books. It says he was born Philip Main (1747-1835) enlisted, 1776-79, as private. He was in the battles of Germantown, Pa., and Elizabethtown, N. J. He received a pension in 1833 for service as private in the 12th Virginia regiment under Colonel Wood. He was born in Gloucester County, N. J., died in Beaver County, Pa. Could this be your Philip? Debbie
