    1. [NJMONMOU] CDs available and assignments update
    2. Anita Clayton
    3. Hi, Here is the updated list of claimed EDs. Many of the original general volunteers have not staked a claim yet. Please do so. I will be away for a few days starting Saturday. Heritage Quest finally came out with their announcement about the 1910 CD on Wednesday, 4/5/00. They are as hoped $14.95 (includes shipping) for members and 19.95 for nonmembers. I can order at $14.95, some others can too. Please if you can swing the 14.95, get your own. Let me know if you aren't a member. There are two CDs, one for each of the National Archives films #900 and #901, with the same ED break down, so if you only want to buy one CD pick places on the same one. http://www.Heritagequest.com or 1-800-760-2455 Of course as we have mentioned before you could use microfilm from various sources, but the CDs could be used at home. I have ordered a few CDs, I think the quickest and simplest way to handle this is for people who are buying their own and want me to order it for them at 14.95, or those donating money for me to buy a CD for other volunteers to use, to send a check made out to me. (I promise I'm trustworthy - Sunday School teacher, former Cub Scout and PTA treasurer and all that :-) ) I will post a list of those who have donated when I get the checks and let you know who receives the CDs to use. One has requested to be anonymous, unless she has changed her mind, and she will be listed as such. We will need the donated CDs back from these people when they are finished so that others can use them for further transcription and proofreading I'm fairly sure, unless I am absolutely overwhelmed with donations and people buying their own CDs. After the project I think it would be nice to donate the gift CDs to historical societies, libraries and/or family history center, depending on how many we end up with. Letting volunteers keep them or giving them to the donators may cause problems, if there aren't enough for everyone who donated. Please give me input on that, I don't want that to be my decision alone. One thing I don't want is problems. (Some of you I'm sure will remember the Penelope Von Prinzes Stout poem fiasco, problems just grow sometimes. Especially miscommunications can turn into huge misunderstandings). If you aren't comfortable with any of this, please let me know. Here is the current list of assignments. If I have missed some, please let me know right away. Julie needs to let me know if she has decided to do Homdel and Middletown or Homdel and Freehold. If the area you want is assigned, we can assign you to proofread that section. Some of these sections are only a few pages long - maybe you could offer to do one of those and see if you like it. > These numbers refer to the stamped numbers on every other page. > > FHLC film no. 1,374,913 (Nat. 3. I was wondering if the name LISTA might ring a bell to any of you out there. My g-grandmother Katherine LISTA was born in NJ according to the 1920 Census, probably in 1890. I'd love to be able to track down her parents names. They were listed as owning a house on Buttonwood Ave, if that helps. Also, Dominick Caliendo, her husband, was listed as a railroad worker. I understand the railroad kept their own pension files, but could anyone tell me the name of the railroad most like to have employeed men from Monmouth Co? Thanks again for your help!
