Hello: Looking for any information on this family: Frederick Miller b 1733 Germany, d Sept 22, 1814 NJ served in Revolutionary War. Married Euphemia SCHAEFER b 1741 Germany d May 27, 1824 NJ. CHILDREN: Frederick P, Euphemia, Sarah, Elizabeth, Mary, George, Phebe, John and Margaret. Other names researching related to this family: ROGERS, HALL, COX, ROBBINS AND HULET. Thanks, Diane
Clarence Keim married a cousin of my Mothers. Her name was Inez Brown who lived in Belmar, NJ. She descends from John Brown of Belmar who was a brother of my great grandfather Anthony Brown of West Belmar. There is one daughter living and I think John their son is still living. Their daughter I spoke to in 1999. My father worked with Clarence at Jersey Central Power and Light many yrs. ago. We lived in an apartment that was next Inez and Clarence's home when I was a baby. Later Clarence lived next to his (now late) daughter Verna on H St. next to my parents in West Belmar. Small world! Jackie, once a Jersybel

Thank you for the information but the Keim I am looking for is Elwood's wife, Minni Vonah Keim. Elwood was Clarence Keim's Uncle. Clarence married a woman named Inez. Minni is supposed to be buried in Mt. Prospect cemetery but they can't find a record of her as of yet. They are in the process of organizing all of the records for the cemetery and it's going to take a while before I find out for sure if they have her listed there. In the mean time, I am still searching for her date of death for my grandmother. Debbie
I have finally located Horner's book and Stillwell's set (and I own Salter's book). It seems like I remember reading that Ellis' history was available for sale somewhere, but I can't remember where. Hello, I wrote to Rosehill-Rosedale Cememtery last year asking for info on my relatives that are buried there and they were kind enought to send me a list with the names I requested and the burial dates. They asked for $ 5.00 per name to search any more info. The address I wrote to was Rosedale and Rosehill Cemetery Association 355 Linden Ave. Linden, NJ 07036 (908) 862-4990 My dates were all from 1927 and up but it won't hurt to try again. Good luck Debbie Price price1234@tnns.net
There were Keims in Neptune City - -probably the same lot.
Hi, Ruth and all, The festival is actually a Celtic Festival (not just Scottish) and will be held in Count Basie Park which is on Henry St. just off Newman Springs Rd. (Route 520) - actually the park runs between West Bergen Pl. and the back of businesses on Newman Springs Rd. The Volvo dealership is at the corner. There will be parking at a business on West Bergen Place and a shuttle to bring you the short distance to the park - also walkable if you would rather. If you are coming by way of the Garden State Parkway - take 520 East and it will be on your left after you cross the railroad tracks near the new Edwards supermarket. From Route 35, it is the first street on your right after getting on Route 520. You can't miss it - just look for the GPU Substation wires - the one that caused our blackout last summer!!! Hope this helps. -- Candy_B cbservices@monmouth.com Researching Bennett, Cooper, Vanderveer, Woolley & related families in NJ Researching O'Brien, Brown, Boyle, Cavanaugh, Noonan, Fitzgerald, Spellman, Messier (Macey), LaCroix (Cross), Blais (Blair), Durand, Simonneau, Chabbot (Jabbot, Jabaut), Boucher, Sharron and related families in NY, New England and Quebec > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Ruth <ruthsrescue@erols.com> > To: <NJMONMOU-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Saturday, May 06, 2000 7:18 AM > Subject: [NJMONMOU] Red Bank Scottish Festival > > > Good Morning, > > Today, there is a Festival of Scottish mass bands being held in Red > > Bank, NJ. If you had an address for the Volvo dealership you could go to Lycos Road Maps on your search engine and get the picture or driving directions. Hi Jackie: Yes, I remember them, although I haven't seen any of them since I left school. Essentially I left the area when I was 17. All my family were from Essex County and my wife's side from Hudson County so that is where concentrate my efforts along with tracking the immigrees. I stay on the Monmouth County list just to see what's going on back there. Good Morning, Today, there is a Festival of Scottish mass bands being held in Red Bank, NJ. It is going to be held behind a Volvo Dealership in a park. I cannot find directions anywhere. Does anyone on this list know anything about this festival and could someone please give me directions? Thank You, Ruth

When I checked the first time, only a few relatives were listed - I knew my uncle was buried there - I was at his service. When I checked again last year, they really went out of their way, and the lady at the office (Kathleen A. Odell) found 11 people buried in an 8 plot family burial spot. She said on checking a second time some of the people were listed in an unknown section of the book. She said this was because prior to 1950 all burials were recorded in their interment book, but the plot number recordings were sparse. She said therefore, 5 of my family burials were relisted under unknown burials. Also when I told her I knew that 2 of the babies were buried on top of adults she looked further. So, it might be good to check with them a second time, she were extremely helpful, and typed a listed of everyone buried in the family plot and their date of death. Now, if I can just figure out where my Ggrandmother, Mary Jane Wilson West is buried! I never knew my Ggrandfather John West was buried there! He was a co-found of the West Furniture Co. in Keyport I unfortuantely had to come up to NJ 1 1/2 months ago because my father, John West Clayton died. He chose to be buried at a new Veterans Cemetery in Arniesville, NJ, near Lakehurst. They only allowed one gravepiece on the grave. So, we took the extra flowers to Shoreland in Hazlet and Rosehill in Matawan. My brother, sister, 2 grandparents, 3 uncles,1 aunt, my Ggrandfather and 2 unknown babies are buried there. I was very distressed at so many of the old tombstones being knocked over. Does anyone know of any group that may be involved in trying to repair the old stones? We try to come up to NJ every summer. I'm now physically disabled, but my husband could help trying to repair the stones. I'm sure I could help with a little weeding, as long as I keep taking my rest periods, or help with refreshments. I'll never understand why anyone would destroy tombstones. :( Pat Clayton Bezek Cape Coral, Florida
