Im looking for a Britton Bennett Joyce at the Jersey Shore
Dear Lisa, Thanks for snail-mailing the CONOVER files. My Ann CONOVER [b. 11Feb1780, daughter of William and Mary (????) CONOVER -- d. 07Jan1854] who, on 1808 married Samuel STILLWELL [b. 26May1776, son of John and Pamela (????) STILLWELL -- d. 03Jan1861 at Middletown Point, NJ], is still my only CONOVER and the only other documentation I have on her is her and Samuel's marriage recording 19Jan1808 in Monmouth Co and the Family Bible entries listing their them and their children. In the Bible it gives Ann's and Samuel's parents' names; however, not their mothers' maiden names. As I will send a copy of this e-mail to the Monmouth Co List I will restate information on Ann and Samuel's children: 1) Pamela STILLWELL 04July1808 - 03Nov1821 2) Mary Wall STILLWELL 02Jan1811 - 01Jun1896 3) Sarah STILLWELL 11Sep1812 - 30Apr1813 4) Conover STILLWELL 18Dec1813 - 15Feb1838 5) Holmes S (maybe L) STILLWELL 13May1815 - 18Oct1815 6) Elisha STILLWELL (my gg-grandfather) 08Sep1816 - Jun1895 m. Matilda KENNARD 7) Samuel S STILLWELL 18Sep1818 - 13Sep1819 8) Matilda STILLWELL 24May1822 - 24Aug1886 m. Alex H. HARRIS Any information on all the above named persons certainly will be appreciated. I did it again. I didn't mean for my response to Lowell to go out to the world. Sorry.

Cousin Joe, Since I am getting so many updates/corrections, are you OK with going with a total replacement of the existing file that you have in the archives? I'd send the complete, updated file to you in say a month's time after the updates/corrections slow down. And then after that, I'd forward just the actual updates every few months. How's that? Hi Linda, yes, we Lemings are spread all over! Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Just wish I could find the Havens-Leming/Lemon/Lemmon marriage somewhere. I know they lived in Ocean, Leesville mostly. thanks Debbie ----- Original Message ----- From: <LindaBch@aol.com> To: <NJMONMOU-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 10, 2000 3:35 PM Subject: Re: [NJMONMOU] Re: NJMONMOU-D Digest V00 #143 > re:{ havens marriage and emmons- those are common names around upper freehold > and allentown! and leming is too! leming is in new egypt that i knew of. linda >
Hi Jackie, Thanks for looking. She did marry Moses Leming,Lemon.Lemmon(started out to be Lyming/Liming way back in the 1600-1700's.) In the Leming family everyone spelled it differently, sometimes several ways throughout their lifetimes. Go figure. But I will keep searching. She must be out there somewhere. Thanks again. Moreover, the narrow ones sold in sets of five colors can pull the printed word right off the page. So, if you chose to use them in your personal books, be sure that the sticky part does not cover any ink. This is information from the Genealogical Society of Santa Cruz County. Usually I'm looking for relatives from long ago, but in this case, I'm trying to find someone who I hope is still around... I'm trying to locate Constance Drew. She married my husband's uncle, Jay (Jacob) Stryker, in the early 1970s. Jay was killed by a hitchhiker in July, 1974. I've been told Constance was from the Middletown area, but I also know that at the time of Jay's death, she was living in Tequesta, Florida. Does this name ring a bell with anyone? Unfortunately, I have very little information about her since this is my husband's family, and he and I were only about 3 or 4 years old at the time of his uncle's death... Thanks, Gabrielle Researching: Stryker, Matthews, Morris, Forman
Hi Joe, The Wallings, Roberts, Whites and Lippincotts are my family surnames also. I'll be happy to share what ever I have. Ruth NJ
