    2. Looking for family information on the Patterson families of Monmouth County. Especially looking for a William B. Patterson who married a Caroline Stewart or Steward (need this information as well). They had a son named Stewart born 1837. Possible other siblings as well??? William B. may have been born in 1793 or 1817, I have heard of both dates. Don't have any information further back then that. Other families include the Van Kirk, Van Brunt, and Miller families. Feel free to email me directly or take a peek at my webpage. Any tidbits of information much appreciated as I am getting ready to re-upload my GED2WWW family tree with many more individuals. 3. I found this post rather interesting, so I will take a shot in the dark (even though the geography might be a little off, these people seemed to move around quite a bit) and post a query in reference-- I am looking to find out what I can about a Walter Hyer/Hier/Hyre, who married Julia Page (1848-1917, d/o Marvin Page and Margaret C. Lutes). Julia married David Traphagen Stryker in Hoboken ca. 1881, and her status is listed as H's widow. I have found references to a Ben Hyer/Hier/Hyre, who ended up in Utah, but I do not know whether Ben was Julia's and Walter's son, or nephew, or stepchild, or some other relation. From family letters, I know that Julia and Walter lived in Ontario for a while-- Julia's mother's Lutes relations were plentiful in that area. I also know that David and Julia lived in, raised their family in, and are buried in Whitehouse Station NJ (Hunterdon Co.); however, David's aunt, Catherine Ditmars Stryker, owned property in Monmouth, and died in 1881. ----- Original Message ----- From: "hummm" <nikki@iag.net> To: <NJMONMOU-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, June 18, 2000 10:17 PM Subject: Re: [NJMONMOU] Van Nest Family of Rumson > > Dear Debbie: > > I also found a pension index that has William H. But they grew up in Rumson and still live there most of the year - they have a house in Florida for the winter. I don't know if you have ever seen the church - it is phenomenal!! 3. Hi, Debbie, Could you give me a timeframe for the family you are referencing. My MIL was a long time member of that congregation until her death in 1991, and I still know lots of folks who go there, as well as the recently retired pastor. We live about 2 miles from the church. I would be happy to enquire of my friends if we are not talking about 40 years ago:) Actually, even then I know some families who were in the congregation. Also, you could check with the office at (732) 842-0429. Their mailing address is First Presbyterian Church of Rumson, 4 E. River Rd., Rumson, NJ 07760. Just give me a bit more info and I will be happy to help.
