    3. Thank you, Suzanne! Yes, that would explain why the obituary I have mentioned the "Juniors". It seems that he was a respected member of this group and they gave the widow $500 at the time of his death on April 11, 1898. 3. I could really use some help from all listmembers! I have managed to expand my family tree, but the Hyer connection still is missing some relations. If anyone has a family line that ties in with mine, I would really appreciate hearing from you. :) I do not know where my family line would tie in with other Hyer families since I have not been able to find out who William S. married the first time, or who Hendrick married after Mary. (Still hunting those ancestors down) Hendrick Hyer married Mary ?? He also may have been married more than once. They had at least one child named William S. Hyer. William S. Hyer married at least twice to: first wife is unknown at this time.....second wife was Sarah A. Smith from England. They had at least four children: Mary E., Sarah E., James, and William. One of the girls, Mary or Sarah (also sometimes referred to as Elizabeth) married Frank Lambertson, who is supposed to be prominent in Monmouth County history. William S. Hyer died at the home of his son-in-law, Frank Lambertson, on November 11, 1891, at the age of 81. (which would have made his birth date 1809 or 1810) James W. Hyer married Adelaide L. Cooper. James was an officer in the Freeholder's Association and also a member of O.U.A.M. (Organized United Auto Mechanics ??) He died suddenly on April 11, 1898, at the age of 42. (which would have made his birth date 1856 or 1857) James and Addie had three children: Arthur (1882) Irene (1884) and George (1892) Addie L. Cooper has ties to the Warne genealogy in New Jersey. Her father was Benjamin Parker Cooper and her mother was Meleney Brown. Meleney Brown's father was Whitehead Brown and her mother was Susannah Hall. After James W. died, Addie married Henry Vogel (sometimes spelled with two l's Vogell). Arthur Hyer (changed the spelling to Heyer) married Florence Elizabeth Hughes Reeves in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Florence's mother was Ana Pettit from New York. They had one child together: Gertrude Hyer born on Oct. 19, 1905, in Keyport, New Jersey. Gertrude Hughes Vanderhoof was "Gertie's" aunt. Arthur Heyer moved to Haines City, Florida, and married Cora Winifred Krise Heyer Martell. Cora has ties to the Dubs genealogy in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. Cora also had three other children: Thelma Wilson Adams, Marabelle Wilson Stoddard, and Dale Wilson Gates. Thelma Wilson Adams was the child of Cora Winifred Krise and ?? Amon from Clearfield, Pennsylvania. I do not know who the fathers of Marabelle or Dale were at this time. Irene Hyer married ?? Clarke. George Eiffert Hyer married ?? (unknown at this time) Arthur Heyer had the following children with Cora: Betty, Clara Mae, Juanita, Beverly, James Henry, and John Herman Heyer. James Henry Heyer married Anna Ella Vicknair (my mother and father), on March 23, 1950, in Orange, Texas. They had the following children: Mary Frances, Patricia Anne (me), and James Michael Heyer. Still lookin' for lost relations! Patti Heyer nikki@iag.net

    1. [NJMONMOU] Francis family
    2. I am trying to trace the ancestry and descendants of Robert Francis, who was probably born c.1735. He left a will in 1787 in Freehold, naming his children. He married April 8,1765 in Freehold to Susannah Williams Throckmorton (1738-1813), widow of Hartness Throckmorton, and daughter of John Williams and his wife Susannah. Robert and Susannah had atleast the following children: 1.John who married Content 2.David who left land to his brothers in 1796, apparently never married. 3.Robert (1774-1851), my ancestor. He later married an Elizabeth, and moved to Perth Amboy and then Newark, where he died. He had: 1. Charles (1805-1883) who married 1829 Mary Dutcher (1808-1881) 2. Richard (1808-1852), who married (1) 1831 Harriet Meeker (1812-1838) married (2) 1840 Mary Jane Spinning (1812- ) 3. Robert (1815- ), who married 1847 Ann Falkner 4. Phebe (1818-1877), my ancestor, married 1834 Stephen D.Aber (1813-1893) 5. Mary (1822- ) 4.Nehemiah (1778-1850's). He married 1805 Amy Strickland and had: 1. Jonathan (1809- ) 2. Sarah (1812-1896) 3. John (1822- ) 4. Asa (1823- ) 5. Elizabeth B (1828-1856) I think Robert Sr.'s father was John Francis, who moved from Trenton to Monmouth County in the early 18th Century, or maybe that was his grandfather. I'm also wondering if he is related to Richard Francis, who married Sarah Warne. Any help in this matter would be appreciated. Sincerely, Tom Kearney Rsnble@aol.com
