    3. And we live 7 miles in off exit 100 on the way to Ocean Grove which is full of history. But then my husband has spent the past few days fixing phones in the Trenton State Prison. Then we have our lovely beaches this time of year, Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach, Avon, Belmar, Spring Lake and further.

(Yes, I know I am cutting on Newark airport), but it has to be the worst airport I have ever been in. We spent 10 hours up there in January 1994 in an ice strom, not even a place to sit down then except on the heating duckwork in front of the windows. Hope it has improved in 6 years. And if it has I apologize. NJ has some really bad places and some really nice places, like the tiny rural town I live in where the Battle of Chestnut Neck was fought in 1777 or 8 just down my road. For a tiny state it has very varied scenery from one end to the other. Nothing spectactular like the west, or as pretty as the coast of Maine, but nice. For the number of people here there are remarkably empty places, like the Pine Barrens, along Rt. 539 which I travel at least once a week, not a building for miles. People who haven't been here are always surprised. It may be the proverbial NJ joke "What exit do you live at?" and I do live 2 miles from exit 48 of the Garden State Parkway (Mile marker 46.3 is 500 feet behind the woods in back of my house), but hey, I can live with that. :-) (Hope I'm not starting something here) Anita NJ born, bred and raised (back to colonial times, but I have been out on occasion)

    3. Bertha: (For those of you who don't know where Morrisville, PA is, it's located in Bucks County right across the Delaware River from Trenton, NJ...Not so far from Monmouth Co. Lots of Monmouth names there too including Mount, Poland, Ridgeway, Cadwallader, Pidcock, Layton (I think) and others.) That building, to the best of my knowledge, is still called Summerseat. I grew up learning to twirl a baton, do cartwheels and just having a good time on the lawn of that building. When Morrisville celebrated it's sesquicentennial in 1954, Summerseat was featured on a piece of Pennsbury Pottery. During the 1950's the building was used as offices for the Superintendent of Schools, the school nurse (Mrs. Okurowski) and classroom space for instrumental music...I had violin lessons there every week for 7 years! 1. [NJMONMOU] Last will & testament of Robert Morris
    2. If anyone is interested, while searching through microfilm at a local library, I found an article in the NY Times from 1937 that reads in part: The will of Robert Morris, one of the men who financed the American Revolution, but who spent many of the later years of his life in prison because he was unable to meet his debts, has been found by the Federal Writers Project in the office of the Register of Deeds of McDowell County, at Marion, NC. Although the will is filed under the date of November 10, 1795, it was acknowledged by Morris as his last will and testament on June 16, 1804. If anyone would like the article, which lists his wife and children, and what he left them, I have transcribed it in MS Word 95, version 7.0. I will send it as an attachment to your private email address. Debbie

    2. The George Allen I have married to Elizabeth Hulett before April 09, 1697, I call him George Allen III, as his father was Jr. and his grandfather was Sr. all Georges. George III also had a son George. I call him George IV. I have no birth date for Elizabeth but have she died in Dec. 1756. They also had daughter Deborah Allen who married Adam Brouwer who had Deborah Brouwer who married Jeremiah Pearce. Only dates for Deborah Allen I have is birth about 1699 and death before 1742. I have no dates yet for George IV nor his other siblings, Ebzer, Joseph and Margaret. Do you? I will appreciate getting the documentation on Elizabeth Pearce having children with John Morris. Yes Elizabeth Pearce was daughter of Jeremiah and Deborah (Brouwer) Pearce and a sister of my Emanuel Pearce. I have only recently got these George Allens straight. But there is another George Allen son of Jonathan Allen. It does get confusing. But our George Allen, Sr. came from Weymouth, Egland b. March 20, 1567/68 and lived and had George Allen, Jr. at Sandwich, Barnstable County, MA, where George Sr. died May 02, 1648. This from Joyce Webster Siedentop just today.
