Witnesses were: Herr (Mr.) Schlaffhorst, Herr (Mr.) Tillot, Mad. (Mrs.) Will In 1858 I found in a directory of Memel in Süderhuk 2 and 3: Krause, C.A., Fährmann (ferryman) und Schankwirt (licensed victualler). He owned the propterty in Süderhuk 2 and 3. I suppose, he is the father of Carl Ernst Krause. In the same house lived Krause, Fr., Schiffszimmergeselle (In English maybe carpenter, who works on ships, Geselle is a journeyman).
