I found the 1860 census for Barney ROWEN in Perth Amboy. It does not show a wife but lists the children: Margaret age 15; Thomas age 11; and, Mirian age 2. Margaret must have died or left the family between 1848 and 1850. All children were born in New Jersey, which definitely places the family in New Jersey as early as 1845-46. I also am trying to find census and sacramental records for those years. Kindest Regards to you and your family.
